How Big Brothers Babysit

I learned a big lesson this week: Boys don't get the concept of "watching" a baby. Since it was so nice out I asked them to watch her for me while I finished dinner. I came out to find her on a blanket alone while they played soccer. "She likes to watch, Mom" was what I heard.

A few days later, similar situation, only this time I hear screaming and they come carrying her in. She has a nice big scrape on her nose. "We forgot to watch her Mom, we were on the trampoline and she hit her head on the wood". She's not technically crawling but she can get places. I guess the play pen will have to be lugged outside, for her own safety!

Do these pajamas make me look fat?

I went to check on
Mak and Chatham the other night and they were giggling up a storm. Now I wish the pictures did them justice. They had been working hard at putting on every pair of pajamas they had in their room (I think they said 13) Mak put on the bottoms and Chatham put on the tops. You don't want to know how much work it was to get them all off!

Our Land

Here is a few shots of our land. I am going to try and take a shot from thess spots each week so you can see it progress. The house will be on the other side of the pond. The second photo is looking back at an angle, with the corner of the pond on the left hand side. I'll try and get a picture of the boys working out there. David and T.J. have gone out almost every night to dig ditches and move dirt on the bulldozer and backhoe.

Check out T.J. he's planting a tree! We planted ten and so far I think 9 are alive!
Kayte is our biggest challenge to keep occupied while we are working. If you look close in the background you can see her big brothers playing in some mud along side the pond.
And yes, in case you are wondering, it's a LARGE Piece of property. But a good portion of it will be rented out to a farmer. Soon it won't be dirt it'll be soybeans.
