Pre-school

Jack and Kayte had their first day of Pre-School on Tuesday.
They will be going two days a week.
Kayte was a bit apprehensive until Oma drove up and then she was excited.
The first day went well. Jack has surprised me
with the amount of maturity he has shown in handling this "big"change Just waiting for his ride!

NYC

Last month we were able to take our three oldest to New York City.
Jack and Kayte enjoyed being watched at home, and we enjoyed traveling without little ones :) This picture was taken inside the new "World Trade Center" - the last building to collapse and the first to be rebuilt, and it was beautiful. The windows behind them has a view of where the twin towers once stood.

"The Bull"
According to our tour bus, no one knows where it came from, it was placed on the front steps of someplace, and then moved until placed here.

David with his boys in front of the
New York Stock ExchangeWe went and saw Shrek the Musical, which was far better than any of us expected!
At the top of the Empire State Building.
It was a bit windy!

And how could we go to the Big Apple without seeing Lady Liberty.
I think that was my favorite part!

New Pictures

I know I have been bad about posting, things should change now since we now have internet hooked up in our home. We are all very excited about that! Below are the recent professional pictures we had taken of the kids. Can't believe it's been a year since I went last!

Ashley's funeral

I have other things I can update, but they don't seem appropriate right now. So I am posting the link to Ashley's funeral. It was a challenge to all who were there, and it is still all I am really thinking about. It has caused our family to stop and consider much more seriously life and death, and what tomorrow might hold for us.
I read through the "book ends" of Job the other night to remind myself of the behind the scene things we don't see here on earth. Despite all that Job lost his response was to humble himself before God. When we know who He is, even when we don't understand we can trust.
