Thanksgiving Tradition

In General we aren't tradition keeping people. In fact David has this thing about not doing the same thing twice. However, there is one thing that we have done for the past 12 years - with only one exception. And that is to go out to the Green House on Thanksgiving Day and have our family picture taken. Usually it is among the poinsettias for our Christmas card photo, but we did venture over to
the Orchid range this year.
I have to say that is was the first year that we actually all had fun. There was no sweating, threatening or bribing. Just laughing, sitting and smiling. It was painless - and we have some great pictures to show for it...but if I posted them online they wouldn't make very fun Christmas cards!

Mak is now 11

Since Mak's birthday is so close to Thankgiving, he generally gets pie instead of cake.We made an extra effort this year to keep the two special days separate. It actually started on Tuesday when cousins Hannah, Todd and Hailey came to have a sleep over.
Then Wednesday morning there was Cinnamon rolls for breakfast.
(Todd has a November birthday too)
And for lunch we had pizza and oreo ice cream cake, and of course presents. For his birthday he wanted: An Axe, a Snuggie and Legos (see video)

Legos now come with remotes. He didn't get a "set" he went online and picked out specific pieces and created this.
